Skyline Views on a San Francisco Hilltop

This modern San Francisco four story home is uniquely built over the shell of the original 1940’s hillside home.

The owners wanted to create a comfortable living space that not only allows them to age in a location they love, but also created a 2br guest/rental additional dwelling unit on the lower two floors. The sizeable undertaking required 23 structural piers down to bedrock combined with and expansive steel framing to bear the structural load of the four story dwelling. A stunning pneumatic elevator and floating steel and oak staircase were added to support and access the spacious top two-floor owners unit with large floor to ceiling windows showcasing the panoramic city views.

Mid-Century goes Modern

This austere hillside home featured a beautiful atrium entryway and sweeping views of the bay, but other than that it was considered  Mid-century Modern only based on its chronology. The boxed in kitchen was opened up and outfitted with custom cabinets and the latest appliances by Thermador. That bright open styling was carried throughout the home with new white oak hardwood floors, stone media wall and luxuriously updated bathroom.

Quality and Comfort in this lofty hillside home

This turn of the century hillside hideaway boasted stunning views but had a small footprint for the lot size. The solution was to add 8 feet of depth to the back of the house on three levels. This enlarged and brightened the rooms, offering a more modern open space design.

Urban Serenity in the San Francisco Hills

This Mid-Century home is perched in an urban forest on the ocean side of San Francisco’s Twin Peaks. The lush expanse of greenery outside the windows is accented by the subtle wood accents throughout the open floor plan. The styling throughout is light and minimal.

Artistic flair with custom designer features

The Kitchen in this Glen Park bungalow is an eclectic collaboration of original architectural elements combined with crafted fixtures and material mirroring the period styling of the overall home. The bath has been brightened with the addition of an overhead skylight and clean open floor plan.

Poolside Living on the Peninsula
